The amazing food here was at Cafe Maitreya standard plus you get a view across a sunlit valley studded with orange, lemon and almond trees. A little corner of paradise. It's about an hours drive from Murcia San Javier airport where the cheap flights people go. Accommodation is in a converted charcoal makers/ mill house in the foothills of the mountains outside Murcia. Its good walking, climbing, paragliding and birdwatching country. The hotel is staffed by terrifically friendly people who will go the extra mile to provide vegan food if warned in advance. The quality of the cooking left me astounded. I'm afraid pictures don't do the Hospederia justice. But you won't be disappointed. (And no just in case you're wondering I have no connection with the proprietor and no vested interest beyond hoping good folk earn a decent living cos they deserve to)
