Suidgy Choc Cake

Ingredients

  • 125g vegan marg
  • 300ml soya milk
  • 2tbsp golden syrup
  • 1tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 250g gluten free flour or works just as well with plain flour
  • 50g cocoa
  • 250g brown sugar

Method

  • Put marg, syrup and soy milk (holding back a few tbsp) in saucepan and melt slowly
  • Sieve flour and cocoa
  • Mix bicarb soda and the few tbsp soy milk you held back
  • Combine marg, syrup and soy milk mix with flour, cocoa and bicarb with milk.
  • Mix well.
  • Put in 20cm baking tin lined with greaseproof paper
  • Bake Gas 4/180C/350F 30 mins
  • Bake Gas 3/160C/300F 1 hr 15 mins
  • When knife comes out clean leave to cool.
  • Great with soy cream/ soy ice cream/ vegan buttercream/ nutcream/ fruit/ melted vegan choc
